Using off-site construction we were able to manufacture, install and commission the entire fast-track mortuary facility in just 11 weeks, allowing the client to continue business as usual during the relocation of their existing facilities.
Turnkey mortuary
PKL Healthcare provided a turnkey facility through design, installation and commissioning, including the relocation of the autopsy tables and dissection benches from the existing mortuary to our fast-track mortuary facility.
The prime equipment was transferred from the existing mortuary over a three day period, including a weekend, reducing the interruption of service to a minimum.
Our fast-track mortuary
The fast-track mortuary facility includes an autopsy room, isolation autopsy room, and body storeroom with refrigerated storage for 28 bodies and forensic storage for 8 bodies.
Other facilities provided by PKL Healthcare included a utility store with formaldehyde store, bier room with glazed panel, body viewing area, disabled public WC, public waiting area, and reception office and staff facilities.
