PKL Healthcare modular operating theatre suites are high quality portable buildings built to permanent standards and designed to the latest HTM/HBN guidelines. These facilities are available for immediate hire with rental periods from just a few months to a decade.
Specification
Our modular operating theatres are designed as self-contained facilities which can be used for a multitude of surgical disciplines (GA, orthopaedic, ophthalmic, bariatric, obstetric, neurosurgery). There are various options available to suit each discipline , concrete floors for use of microscope, laminar flow UCV canopies and x-ray protection. The temporary operating theatre suite includes; operating room, anaesthetic room, preparation room and a dirty utility area.
Plant Room
All of our modular operating theatres are supplied with an independent plant room containing the air handling unit (AHU), which provides required air volume, filtration and heating, as well as housing the cooling plant.
To provide medical gases the operating theatre can be connected to the hospital's existing medical gas services. Should these not be available an external manifold for connection of oyygen, medical air and nitrous-oxide can be provided, allowing the theatre to operate independently. Anaesthetic gas scavenging system (AGSS) and a vacuum plant are integral to the plant room.

Monitoring and Maintenance
During the hire, our modular operating theatres have a full monitoring and maintenance package. They are fully maintained by our dedicated service department and can be remote monitored ensuring that our facilities operate at an optimal level.
