Monitoring and Maintenance of our Hire Fleet

As a standard part of our hire offer, we include the monitoring and maintenance of each of our hire facilities is provided by our in-house maintenance team.

This offers the Trust complete peace of mind throughout the hire and guarantees use of the facility 24 hours of the day for 365 days of the year.

At any given time we are responsible for the smooth operation of a number of operating theatres, wards, and other healthcare facilities central to the operation of many NHS Trusts.

Once commissioned and handed over, total care of the building structure and mechanical and electrical installations is the responsibility of PKL Healthcare, from PPM visits to reactive call out and ongoing repairs as and when necessary.

Planned preventative maintenance is critical to the efficient and safe function of a theatre, it is equally important that this work is carried out in such a way that it does not interfere with the day-to-day business of the surgical teams.

Shortly after handover a maintenance schedule is agreed with both the users and the Trusts estates department. A checklist is issued which will cover in detail the work to be carried out during each visit and a report is issued to the Trust.

All PKL Healthcare facilities that contain complex engineering, such as operating theatres are controlled by a BMS system. This system is remotely monitored by our engineers through a central system at our Head Office to enable us to predict problems in advance and proactively address engineering problems before they occur.
